Inequalities for SBI PO 2018

Today I am going to tell techniques for inequalities. After learning these tricks you will be able to answer within 10 seconds by seeing question itself.

We have to learn 3 main symbols in inequalities. That are >,< and =.

Greater than(>):

Less Than(<):

Equal To(=):

Consider we can travel from open gate and we can not travel from closed gate.

Lets go to Three important main rules to solve the questions without using pen and paper.

In the above important rules. If the conclusion given with Greater than equal to(>=).Then, The statement given with the three symbols. That are >= , > , = .

As shown in the above diagram if the conclusion given with >= then the statement will travel only in >= and = . It wont travel in >.

NOTE: Same will applicable to other two important rules.

EXAMPLE 1 :

Statement :A<D>C<E>B

CONCLUSION: I) C > B - False

                                  II) A < E -False

ANS: I)C > B ( We have to travel from C to B . because gate is opened from c side. Now go to statement. C to B means C<E>B. In this case we can not travel from C to E . So Conclusion I is False )

II) A<E( We have to travel from E to A . lets go to statement  A<D>C<E. In this case
We can travel from E to C .Next C to D we can not travel . So conclusion II is also False
)

EXAMPLE 2:
