Ans:  Let S.P = 100rs then loss =10 rs

Loss = C.P-S.P

C.P =Loss+ S.P

C.P =100+10

C.P=110

Loss % = ((10/110)*100)% =9(1/11)

Q4:A man loses the selling price of 4 apples on selling 36 apples . what is his loss% ?

Ans:
Loss ( S.P Of 4 apples) = C.P of 36 apples - S.P of 36 apples
4S.P=36C.P-36S.P
40 S.P = 36 C.P
Loss % = (4/40)*100 = 10 %

Ans: 3+(3/4) +5+ (6/5) = 2+(2/5)-1-(1/4)+X
               8-1 +(3/4)+(1/4)+(6/5)-(2/5) = X
                7+1+(4/5) = X

 = X

Q4: 110 % of 560 + 20 % of 430
Ans:  100 % of 560 is 560
           10 % of 560 is 56
           110 % of 560 is 560+56 = 616
          10% of 430 is 43

Aptitude practice questions for sbi clerk 2018 part 1

1 )  22 , 10 , 8 , 12 , 40 , ?
Ans :

Note : Whenever you will find the second number is near of half of first number and third number is near of second number . Then , that series is based on  Half Pattern Series.

Whenever your series is Half pattern . as per the name it is required we have to multiply with 0.5

22 x 0.5 – 1 = 10

10 x 1 – 2  = 8

8 x 2 – 4 = 12

12 x 4 – 8 = 40

40 x 8 – 16 = 304

2 ) 8, 4.5, 5.5, 13, 56, ?

Ans :

Note : If you will find any decimal number in number series . Answer will be multiply by * 0.5 or 1.5

8 x 0.5 + 0.5 = 4.5

4.5 x 1 + 1 = 5.5

5.5 x 2 + 2 = 13

13 x 4 + 4 = 56

56 x 8 + 8 = 456

3) 8, 4, 4, 6, 12, .....?

Ans :

Note : If the same numbers are exist in the question. Maximum answer will follows the Divisible method.

4÷8 = 0.5

4÷4 = 1

6÷4 = 1.5

12÷6 = 2

x÷12 = 2.5

x = 12*2.5

x = 30

4 )
6, 3, 3, 6, 24, ?

Ans :

Note : If the same numbers are exist in the question. Maximum answer will follows the Divisible method.

6 0.5 = 3

3 1 = 3

3 2 = 6

6 4 = 24

24 8 = 112

5)
Find the value of 3(1/5) +6(8/7)-4(6/5)

Ans:

        Write the above question as below                                      {x(a/b) = x+(a/b)}

                     3+6-4+(1/5)+(8/7)-(6/5)

                      5+(8/7)

                     we can write 6+(8/7) as 6(8/7)

6) Find the value of 50 % of 680 + 20 % of 70
Ans :
100 % of 680 is 680
50 % 0f 680 is 340
10 % of 70 is 7
20 % of 70 is =10%+10% = 20% i.e 14

50 % of 680 + 20 % of 70 = 340+14 = 354

7)If a man buys a TV for 3500 and he sold it for 25% profit. What is his selling Price ?

Ans:                  Here CP = 3500

                                  Profit % = 25 %

                                  SP = 125 % of 3500

                                  SP= (125*3500)/100

                                   SP= 4375.

8)If A's salary is 20% less than B's Salary, by how much percent is B 's salary more than A's?

Ans:

A is x% less than B , then B is more than A by

(x/(100-x)) *100 %
here x is 20 %
(20/80)*100 %
(1/4)*100 %
=25%
